What data we collect, and why
Contact form and quote requests
When you write to us through the form, we collect your name, your email address and, if you provide them, your telephone number, your preferred date and the number of guests. This data is used solely to reply to you and to prepare your quote. The legal basis is your prior request, that is, pre-contractual measures. It is kept for three years from the last contact.
Newsletter sign-up
If you subscribe, we keep your first name, surname and email address in order to send you our news. The legal basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us. Your data is kept until you unsubscribe, and for no more than three years after your last interaction.
Table booking
Online booking is handled by an external provider embedded in our booking page. The data you enter in order to book is processed by that provider under its own privacy policy and is passed to us to manage your visit.
Who has access to your data
Your data is neither sold nor rented. It is accessible to the management team of the brasserie and, for the purposes described above only, to our technical providers: our hosting provider, our form-handling service and our booking platform.
No data is transferred outside the European Union without appropriate contractual safeguards.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation and the French Data Protection Act, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability in respect of your data.
You may exercise them at any time by writing to brasseriestanislas@gmail.com, providing proof of identity. We reply within one month.
If you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority: Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or at www.cnil.fr.
Cookies and audience measurement
Audience measurement, without cookies
We measure site traffic using a tool that sets no cookies and cannot track you from one site to another. The data collected is aggregated and anonymous: pages viewed, referrer, device type, country. It does not allow you to be identified and is neither resold nor cross-referenced with other files. This measurement is strictly necessary for the proper operation of the site and therefore does not require your consent.
Meta advertising cookie, subject to your consent
With your consent, we set a cookie provided by Meta (Facebook, Instagram) so that we can show you our news on those networks. This cookie is set only after you click "Accept" in the banner provided for that purpose. If you decline, or if you do not answer, no advertising cookie is set and the site works exactly the same.
Your choice is kept for six months, after which you are asked again. You may change it at any time by clicking Manage cookies at the bottom of every page.
Data passed to Meta is governed by that company’s privacy policy.
Online booking
Our booking page embeds a tool provided by an external supplier, which may set cookies necessary for its operation when you visit that page. Those cookies are governed by that supplier’s privacy policy.
You may also configure your browser to refuse cookies or to warn you when they are set. This setting is found in your browser’s privacy preferences.
Security
We implement reasonable measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access and disclosure. The site is served over an encrypted connection.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect legal or technical developments. The date at the top of the page indicates the version in force. This English version is provided for convenience; the French version is the legally binding text.
